THE ORIGINAL 9 and the Beginning of 'the Kids'!
On February 12, 2000, the Ty website posted photos and information on the new line ... Beanie Kids! These are the first 'original 9'. The next day, on February 13th, these Beanie Kids went on sale at 20 selected Ty retailers in the U.S., announced in a Newsflash by Ty. Many more have followed (25 total) !

(All Beanie Kids have retired as of December 27, 2002)
