"My Mum" Beanie Baby
(UK / Australia Exclusive)
Thanks to John (the phoenix) for sharing the following:
Hi Deb,
Here's a picture of the new UK bear - My Mum - just in the shops today
(2/28).
In the UK the origins of Mother's Day can be found in the religious festival
of Mothering Sunday,
which has been celebrated on the 4th Sunday in Lent since at least the 16th
century.
Children, usually
daughters, who had jobs in domestic service, were allowed one
day off per year to visit their own mothers and families.
Often they would gather flowers on the way home.
Today, children give their mothers presents, flowers and
home-made cards,
and Mother's Day is celebrated all over the world, but often at
different times of the year.
Style number #46097
Best wishes,
John
