comes from a friend of mine who talked to a retailer yesterday:
There is a red Decade bear on it (the order sheet) . The
patriotic bear (not the pot-bellied one) comes in two different
versions: red/white and blue/red. Not sure if that's feet, or
faces, or ears, or whatever. They are ordered in "mixed
bags." You can order 36 of the British Hero bears. Marilyn
Beanieholics
reports
... "Ty has removed the
ordering limits on all categories, with the exception of Beanies.
Also, the British version of Hero is available to order this
time...only 24's and then 36's for the US version."

Red Decade?
Many
collectors have wondered ... will there be more colors of
Decade? As you know, Ty first released this Bear in blue,
followed by white. So many 'assumed' perhaps red may be
next. SK from Korea reports the following:

Doodle, This is SK in Korea. I think it's strange
that nobody mention(s) about RED Decade yet. I saw RED
Decade yesterday and it was in the list of May release items by
Ty Korea. Unfortunately I forgot to take picture but I will
get it soon. and for new AP beanies, Ty Korea saying ...

have received a note from Daphne Roberts (editor of 'Bean Bag and
Collectables' UK magazine). She addresses a rumor of the magazine
being cancelled, and makes the following clarification:
"The
UK's Bean Bag and Collectables Magazine is alive and well. Any
refunds received from Highbury WV (the publisher) would have been
for a previous magazine for which subscriptions ended last

The
magazine changed it's name a couple of times in the past. But as
noted, it has NOT been cancelled.

Pacific Beanies - Update
On
November 21st last year, we posted news received from
'Martin', stating ... "Ty will be
introducing a new set of Asia Pacific Beanies this Jan.
This time they will all feature the flag of the associated
country ..."
Although it didn't 'pan out' in January, collectors have been curious as to if and when this may happen. We have received the following email from a reader (via Kirsty in Australia).
Local
retailer just told me that set of 6 new Asian Pacific bears will
be available for order on May 1st with
delivery by the 10th. No word on
style/color but the reps here are calling them the AP Flag Bears.
We can order a max of 104 per style but that does not guarantee
we will get all. Also, most AP Buddies have sold out and no more
orders can be placed. Only ones left on store shelves are Sakura
II and Bunga Raya. Lots of releases next month here…TTYL

'JAG' Stars Set to Appear at Fort Hood Children's Festival

co-hosting a children's festival at Fort Hood Stadium April 26 in
recognition of Military Child Month. The event salutes military
children and is intended to help lift the morale of those

and open to the public. "JAG" stars Karri Turner, who

Michelle Baker,
the wife of Cubs manager Dusty Baker, along with son Darren and
niece Lindsay, were given a personal tour of the Ty Corp.'s
Beanie Baby headquarters in Oak Brook last week and got a chance
to preview the new Dusty the Bear Beanie Baby, which will be
given to the first 10,000 kids attending the Cubs vs. Rockies
game May 4.
