 ...  New Releases - Coming Soon
September is (almost) here ... (and hard to believe).  Along with a new month, (typically) come new Ty products.  You should 'expect' to see an announcement on Ty's website  in the next couple of days.  Also to be released soon is the new Harrods' Exclusive Buddy/Classic (see August 21st news below).  Unless we've missed something, I haven't seen any retirement of Ty products.  If you catch something, please let us know so we can share with other collectors.  Just keep an eye on the Ty website for upcoming releases.  (We do know of a few 'expected' ones ... but choose to wait on Ty's official announcement.  They aren't overly exciting to me, but that's strictly a personal opinion.)
 

 ...  Chicago Cubs Dora 2009 Exclusive - Update (Photos)
An Exclusive Limited-Edition Cubs Dora the Explorer Give-Away was handed out to the first 5,000 children 7 and under, at the Chicago Cubs / Pittsburgh Pirates game on August 14th.  (See July 23rd news for additional info.)  A Dora the Explorer was also given away at a Chicago Cubs game on April 19, 2008.   As you can see below, there is '09' on the shirt this year.  Dan of California shares photos of the new Dora, and writes:

As you know, news has been a bit sluggish lately.  However, sometimes we do come across something fascinating while browsing around the internet.  I thought this quite interesting and wanted to share.  As noted on Wikipedia Ty Warner is the owner of a Boeing 737-700 Boeing Business Jet with a custom red and gold paint scheme. The aircraft is registered as N888TY under the holding company of TY Air, and is spotted around the world from Germany to Hong Kong to the USA.  You can view a few photos of the plane at the link below.  (It's definitely a beautiful jet.)

 ...  Cubs Dora Give-Away
Thanks to Ian, who reminds us of the Exclusive Limited-Edition Cubs Dora the Explorer Give-Away 7" plush, handed out to the first 5,000 children 7 and under, at the Chicago Cubs / Pittsburgh Pirates game yesterday.  (See July 23rd news below.)  A Dora the Explorer was given away at a Chicago Cubs game on April 19, 2008.  Is there a difference in the two?  Maybe '09' on the shirt this year?  If you attended the game, or have additional info, we'd be interested in hearing from you.   View the Cubs 2009 promo schedule here).

The McDonalds Ty Teenie Beanie Baby promotion officially began on July 17th, and ends tomorrow - July 13th.   We hope you've been successful if you've been trying to collect all 30 TBB's.  If not, you may want to check with your local McDonalds tomorrow and see what they may still have to offer.
