The officers will use the Beanie Babies to comfort children on a variety of calls, from crashes to child abuse investigations and domestic fight calls.

One of our readers, Dennis,  writes:
I ordered an exclusive Hallmark beanie from a secondary web site. it's name is either sweetiekins or sweetie kins. it a pink and blue dog from what I understand. these dogs are showing up in the Hallmark Gold Crown stores and the site I ordered mine from shipped it a few days ago. what's really strange is that this beanie has never been officially introduced by Ty on his web site! it's also not on the current beanie baby list on Ty's site, either. Wonder what's up with that?

An Exclusive Valentine Beanie has recently appeared at Gold Crown Hallmark stores.  This adorable pink dog, with purple floppy ears and purple paws, has not yet been announced on Ty's website.  (A photo of the Beanie can be seen on a few secondary Beanie websites, ie Cindy's Beans and The Beanie Hut.)   Perhaps it will be introduced with the January 2006 releases next week?  We shall see.

It has been brought to our attention that the BeanWatcher website is "retiring", effective today.  I am sure he will be missed by many, as a provider of daily Ty news happenings around the world.  Thank you from all of us for the time you shared with Beanie collectors.  We wish you well in your future endeavors!

Sly notes the discovery of a new Ty trademark ... "20 years of fun".  On November 29, 2006, Ty Inc. applied to register this trademark.  The goods and services listed - 'plush toys; soft sculpture plush toys; soft sculpture toys; stuffed toy animals; stuffed toy bears; and stuffed toys'.  Ty Warner started Ty, Inc. in 1986.  Looks like a 20 year celebration may be in store.
