Additional (Silent) Retirements
Unannounced retirements can sometimes be quite confusing, if not caught
immediately on Ty's retired listings. Yesterday Daniel of
Beanie Universe
shared news of several (silent) Ty product retirements ... Today he adds:
Add Kissycat, Patter, and Pitter to the list of Silent Retirements. Ty moved
them to "Retired" a little after I had checked.

Just checked the list and I'm also seeing Kissycat, Patter +
Pitter are Retired
too. Pitter and Patter were silently broght out
of retirement Feb 2, 2007 from what I could tell and are now re-retired.
This is the first tyme Kissycat has retired though.
As far as I know, the last tyme I checked the list, on Feb 21, 2007, these
were all still current. I'm going to guess these happened yesterday along
with the others when I jot them down in my notes. If anyone knows they
happened a different day, please let me know. Thanks in advance! Have a

Retirements Soon
Tyme does fly sometimes, doesn't it? ... The end of February is
fast approaching. As typical with Ty at the end of the month, we shall
soon see the retirement of several Ty products, followed shortly with new
March introductions. Will Ty Girlz be announced as well? And
just what will the March BBOM be? The next several days should
be busy ones. Of course, we'll keep you posted 'as it happens'; stay

Hallmark Exclusives
News of upcoming Hallmark Exclusive Beanie Babies have been sprinkled
around the internet lately. Looks like four new Beanies will soon be
announced on Ty's website. "Dear Mom" & "Dear Grandma", and
"Dear Dad" & "Dear Grandpa" should be making an appearance at Hallmark

Removed From Ty Store
The Ty Store Exclusives 'Thankful' and 'First Dog' have been
listed as "sold out" in Ty Store since January 12th. On January 16th,
they were listed as "retired" on Ty's retired Beanie listings. Both of
these Beanie Babies have now finally been removed from Ty Store. Just
an interesting fact we noticed when visiting the Store earlier today. :)

Following our note yesterday regarding 'Enigma', the Loch Ness 2000

Hi Doodle, I am
curious as to availability of ENIGMA when this Beanie surfaces in stores.
My question is when and where. I've done a tad of research and found
out quite a bit of information that I wasn't even aware of. If you "google"
loch ness 2000", you will find more info (even a live cam). Here's
some information I found interesting. There is a Loch Ness 2000
Exhibition Centre in Scotland (click

here). Maybe that's where Enigma will be
sold. Anyway, thought you and your readers would like to know that -

Following the footsteps of Ty Store Exclusives 'Thankful' and 'First
Dog' Beanie Babies (still "sold out" in Ty Store but noted as retired on
Ty's retired listings), 'Sweetiepaws' Beanie Baby is also now listed
as "sold out" in Ty Store. However, this dog is noted as "retired" on

'PADS' and 'Enigma'. The question is ... "exclusive" where? What
exactly does "Loch Ness 2000 Exclusive" mean? And there are 'rumors'
that 'PADS' will be available in the U.S. as well. So ... guess it's a
wait-and-see.

York Toy Fair
The New York Toy Fair was filled with news and excitement this year.
The new 'Ty Girlz' made their appearance, as well as new Beanie Babies,
Buddies, and more. Various reports have been posted on Beanie news
sites, as well as a report by "S", a friend of a Ty Retailer who attended
the Show. She writes:
Hi Doodle; I'm SO
excited!!! A friend of mine, who is a Ty Retailer, just called me
after returning from the new york toy fair. Sure made me wish I could
have attended. She didn't get any photos, which Ty was apparently
letting people take this year. But she did tell me the names of Ty's
GIRLZ. You may have seen the photos already on the internet, I had
picked the dark haired one as my fave. Their names are Sizzlin' Sue.
Lovely Lola, Dazzlin' Destiny, Rockin' Ruby, Sassy Star, & and Punky Penny.
(Recognize some of those names? :) She also said there are lots of
"ocean-themed" Beanie Babies, in different fabrics. Their descriptions
sound AWESOME and different that the "typical" ones. Anyway, I just
had to share this news with you. I'll write you later with more news

I just returned from out of town ... and have email notes from various other
collectors who have viewed photos and additional news on various Beanie
websites. Hopefully the announcement of these new products will
shortly be introduced on Ty's website. Things seem to really be
brewing in Tyland!

Gus Coccia, of Crown Gifts in
New Castle, holds a Barbaro Beanie Baby. Coccia said that when Crown Gifts
started carrying the Beanie Babies at Christmas, he was ordering shipments
of five or six Barbaro Beanie Babies at a time. Now, he is ordering
