With the end of January approaching, we anticipate new Ty February
releases to be announced in the next day or two. If you venture around
various Beanie websites, you can possibly take an early peek at some of the
upcoming products. There's also the February BBOM, new desktop
wallpaper, and perhaps a few surprises along the way as well. I expect
next month to be quite busy.
Groundhog Day,
February 2nd, is almost here. (We're expecting snow; we're not
expecting the groundhog to see his shadow in this area!)
There hasn't been an abundance of news lately, but I do see things stirring
in Tyland. (I've been busy taking care of a very sick son these last
couple of weeks, but will surely update you 'as news happens'.)

checked the Ty website, and this groundhog has been removed from Ty Store.
However it also is not listed now in the retired list. Just a "hmmm"
that makes one wonder what's going on. Are they sold out and not
available anymore? It just disappeared. Thanks for all your hard
work on your site - I check it EVery morning and evening. Take care

The Punxsutawney
Phil 2007 has arrived early to help support the work of the local
American Red Cross.
For a donation of $6, collectors, groundhog fans, Red Cross friends and
community members will receive the newest in the ty Beanie Babies
Collection honoring the celebration of Groundhog Day Feb. 2 on Gobbler’s
Knob in Punxsutawney.
“Once you see this dapper little critter, you are sure to want more than
one for your co-workers, lunch-bunch group, family and friends. He’s a
great birthday or anniversary gift for those who share February 2nd as
their special day,’’ said Barb Taylor, executive director of the
Southern Alleghenies Chapter.
Phil will have a ‘‘coming out day’’ from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the
Logan Valley Mall, Altoona. Phil is also available at Red Cross offices
in Bedford and Blair counties.
“This darling little guy is sure to be another favorite for collectors —
and a portion of your donation will benefit the work of the local Red
Cross in disaster preparedness and emergency relief,’’ Taylor said.

January 10th, on your calendar. This Beanie will only be available by
phone orders. The website (currently) states:
Our exclusive version of the
Ty 2007 Punxsutawney Phil Beanie Baby will go on sale at Punxsutawney Phil’s
Souvenir Shop on Wednesday, January 10 at 9 a.m. It features a red tie and
scarf. There is a limited quantity of this version and it is
only available by calling
Punxsutawney Phil’s Souvenir Shop at 1-800-752-PHIL (7445).
It is not available through this web site. No faxes will be accepted.
Ty has produced two other versions of "Punxsutawney Phil." The version
being sold on the Ty web site features a silver bowtie and scarf. The
version that is being sold at Ty retailers nationwide features a black
bowtie/scarf. The 2007 Ty Punxsutawney Phil Beanie Baby will retail for
$6.00 plus tax (for PA residents) and shipping. There is a quantity limit
of 6 Beanies per customer

Retirements
Pluffies were first introduced at the Dallas Gift Show (June 22-26,
2002), and officially announced on Ty's website on June 28, 2002.
Two of the "original six" Pluffies are still listed as 'current' - Plopper
and Puddles. If you are a Pluffies collector, you probably know that
On December 21. 2006, several Pluffies (silently) retired. Two more
Pluffies can now be added to the retired list ...

Greetings exclusive - it's name is Cyrano. I don't see it on the
