Ty has announced the 'Wonder Pets' Beanie Babies today ... Tuck, Ming-Ming, and Linny. (Additional information can be found in our April 2008 news (see April 19-20) The announcement gives the Ty Retailer locator link, with no mention of them being 'Exclusive' Beanies.

... Almost Tyme
As we stated a few days ago, many collectors are anticipating a few new product releases soon, as well as some retirements. Well, supposedly it won't be long now. In fact, the only twirling icon on Ty's website now is the introduction of Heartland (posted on May 1st). The May 2008 Introduction link has been placed in the past news on Ty's site. So keep watching ... and we'll surely let you know ... when it happens!

... Beanie Baby Birthday List
KarenBrit has completed a Beanie Baby birthday list, complete with photos. She has done a wonderful job and is to be commended for all her hard work. (Yes, it is time consuming ... but her dedication to the hobby shows.)

Interested in making a donation? Steven writes the following:

... Slow News
Yes, news has been a bit slow lately. However, many collectors anticipate a few new product releases soon, as well as some retirements. (We are so accustomed to monthly introductions, it seems a bit unusual to have such a time lapse.) But we'll be here to share news with you, 'updated as it happens'.

... Changes "Under Renovation"
One of our readers, Wendy, writes:
Hi Doodle, I don't know if you have noticed but Ty's BB2.0 website has a couple of changes that I noticed when visiting earlier today. The Treehouse entrance reads "under renovation". Wonder what's up with that? Also that dog you mentioned a couple of days ago is now walking along the path to the right of the treehouse. Just a couple of observations ----- maybe something new coming soon? maybe not. But it definitely appears that there will be a few changes on the BB2 site. Guess we'll find out over the next several days. Thanks and have a great Mother's Day. ~ Wendy ~

... BB2.0 Retirement
Today Ty has retired 'Purry', one of the first Beanie Babies 2.0 (announced by Ty on January 2, 2008). This is the 5th BB2.0 to retire. (Purry should soon be added to Ty's retired BB2.0 list.)

... A New BB2.0 Dog Soon?
One of our readers wrote to us on Wednesday (see news below) and mentioned "a reddish brown dog that pops up in the animation on the BB2.0 site". Today we noticed the dog has changed to red - see a comparison of both below. Probably insignificant, but there HAS been a change in color ... Besides, news is a bit slow - just a little something to share with you.

... Ty Newsflash #2
Ty also introduces 'Heartland', a Beanie Baby 2.0 available at Ty Store. This bear has a heart-shaped American flag embroidered on its chest. (Although Heartland and Righty / Lefty are no big surprises to Beanie collectors, it's nice to see an official introduction by Ty. (It also helps keep the Beanie lists updated and accurate :)
