A comparison of both can be seen below ... the bow tie color, birthday, and poem seem to be the only noticeable difference. (Time will tell if the style #'s of both bears are different.) ... Boblins - Photos
On September 28, 2007, Ty introduced three new Beanie Baby Boblins ... 'Onny', 'Pinny', and 'Bodkin' (Canada, Australia, and New Zealand Exclusives). These three were added to the previously introduced Boblins group - 'Gully/Gimmy', 'Yam Yam', 'Ruddle', and 'Pi' (announced by Ty on March 30, 2007 and still current). Sakurako of Japan (Bottega Beanies) shares a photo of the three new Beanie Babies, as well as a group photo of all seven.

Our friend Linda, from Bits and Peaces website, does wonderful custom Peace Bear packages. If you get a chance, you should stop by the website and check some of them out. She's a very talented lady, and did a superb job on a custom "Doodles Page" Peace bear. Thanks so much, Linda, for sharing your talents with us! This bear will always be a real treasure!

... Emporium Peace Bear
To commemorate their 4th year Anniversary, The Hemporium offers a limited edition of the Ty Peace Bear. Each bear comes with a special numbered card and additional numbered hang tag. Sales began on November 15th - as of this post, this Beanie is still available. (Additional information can be found on The Hemporium website.) Dan from California was able to order one and shares the following:

... Hamleys Exclusives - Ebony and Ivory
On November 20th (see below), we posted news shared by Paul on the Beanie UK website. Today John (the phoenix) shares photos of the Hamleys' invitation and certificate. He writes:

Hi Deb,

Here's the Hamleys news.......
Next week on Saturday 1st December, Hamleys will launch 2 new exclusive bears - Ebony and Ivory, both with Hamleys buttons on their chests. Each of these is limited to 4000 pieces, and as we all ready know, they have been available to pre-order from their online store for a while now.

I can also give you the following information :-

Invitation cards will be sent out to those registered with Ty UK, starting right now!
For those who attend the event, there will be just 100 boxed sets with a certificate showing a printed signature - 50 of Ebony and 50 of Ivory. Customers will be limited to the purchase of just one of these. The boxed bears will retail at £9.99.
In addition, a VERY small number of bears will be hand signed by Ty - this extremely small number may be in one of the boxes...but also might be sold "loose"...so it will be the luck of the draw who gets them!
The store will open at 8.30am, just 15 minutes prior to the published Christmas opening time of 8.45am for the rest of the store.

... 'Senna-kun' Beanie Baby - Photos
On October 31st, we posted the comparisons of the different 'Senna-kun' Beanie Babies. (Click here to view) The general synopsis is as follows:

On November 14, 2005, Ty introduced Senna-kun, a Motomachi Kitamura, Japan Exclusive Beanie Baby - Click here to view the announcement This Beanie was retired on September 25, 2006. There were actually two versions, one with pink padded feet, one with brown pads.

On October 31, 2007, Ty introduced a new Sunna-kun (Japan Exclusive) Beanie Baby ... holding a red heart with the letter 'K' (for Kitamura).

Thanks to Sakurado of Japan (Bottega Beanies) who shares photos of the newest 'Senna-kun', as well as comparison photos of all three together. And check out the cute store display with all the little Beanie puppies!

... Ty Beanies Tracker - 3rd Edition
Karen Holmes (aka KarenBrit) shares the following update on the Ty Beanies Tracker - 3rd Ed. book:

The wait is almost over, and I am hoping to be able to send out all book orders by the end of next week. Thank you for your patience. I have updated my Web Page with information on binding methods, so please visit it and scroll to the bottom of the page to "Binding Suggestions". Of course, the books come bound, but you may want to consider other options too. The options are different than for the 2nd Edition book, because this book is BIG, 480 pages and 2 lb in weight.

... Hamleys Bears
As you are aware from earlier news (on this site, as well as other Beanie news sites), Hamleys is to launch two Exclusive Hamleys' Beanie Babies on December 1st. You can pre-order these two bears on their website by clicking here. The website currently states:
"Exclusive to Hamleys, only 4,000 of these Hamleys TY bears have been produced. This beautiful bear will be a fantastic addition to any Beanie Bear collection. Pre-order yours now for delivery in December to avoid disappointment. Maximum 3 bears per customer."

Paul has posted the following on the Beanie UK website:
I have received an email from a very reliable source at Hamleys regarding their 2 new beanies. They are very likely to be called Ebony and Ivory. ... The source also told me that, to their knowledge, there are no signed bears this year. Also Hamleys intend opening the Store an hour early (0900 - instead of 1000) to facilitate the beanie collectors. If I hear any more I'll keep you all posted. Paul

I saw the post on the Ty site .... about all 7 of the Harrods bears for sale on the Harrods website. I find two things interesting -
- First, the supposedly limited edition rare version ... Russian bear without the Harrods name on its chest - it was rumored to be ... less than 200 of them and all were spoken for but now show up in stock on line.
- Second, I went thru the ordering process ... but did not order anything online. Total for all 7 shipped to CA in US dollars $146.30.

The reader also notes that at one point the order did come up with "cannot be exported" for the following products:

Those who have looked on Harrods site today have noticed that the non-motif version of the Russian Bear is also showing there - according to information just received by me, Harrods have worked through their existing orders, and the excess from what they had are now online too. ... 'Honker' and 'Racing Gold' (Black) - Photos

... 'Elbrus' - Clarification
On November 3rd, Ty posted photos of the newly launched Harrods Beanie Babies. Included in this announcement was the Beanie Baby 'Elbrus', listed as a Harrods - Toy Kingdom Exclusive - London, England.

It was originally noted that this bear would come in two versions - one with a red/white/blue ribbon and one with a gold ribbon. Apparently, they both have gold ribbons. The difference - one has Harrods on its chest, the other does not. (The latter is a Russia Exclusive - Harrods received 288 of them.)

Thanks to Karen, and John (the phoenix) for clarifying this info. Incidentally, John has posted various photos on the Beanie UK website (including a photo of these two Elbrus bears). Click on the link below to view. (There are 4 pages of photos - be sure to check them all out.)

Clubby VIII is still available, through Ty Store and the only one that has been sold through the Store. All others, of course, are retired. As many of you know, today is Harrods' official launch of new Exclusive Beanie Babies. To coincide with that, Ty has posted the new Beanie Babies (and key-clips) on the website.
... Note: Daniel of Beanie Universe shares that all the new Harrods Beanies share the same birthday ... today - November 3, 2007.

Added Note: The Limited Edition (boxed versions with a numbered certificate) of Amnibus and Omnia Beanie Babies have a gold heart emblem on their chest. Although not confirmed, reportedly there were 1500 of these bears available and are now sold out. (You can view several eBay auctions to see a photo - just type in the search box "Harrods Boxed Omnibus Omnia")

... Kentucky Derby New Beanies Available
Thanks to one of our readers who shares news that the Kentucky Derby Store is now selling the two new Beanie Baby horses 'Street Sense' and 'Smarty Jones'. The cost is $9 for non-members; $8 for TSC members ... the first image shown states a date "available December 15th"; however, if you add one of these Beanies to your cart, it reads "This item is out of stock and will not ship until the date indicated" (with a date of November 16, 2007).
