... M & M Beanie Babies
Back on November 3rd, we shared Exclusive news and photos (shared by an anonymous reader) of three M & M Beanie Babies, with a note that these three bears would be released around the first of December. This was followed up with later news that they were starting to show up in certain locations now. Dan from California shares a photo of his lucky find today. As I said earlier, one of my all-time favorite candies are M & M's! Maybe I'll be lucky and find these three under my Christmas tree this year!

... Arriving Now !
As you may be aware, we shared Exclusive news on November 3rd of upcoming M & M Beanie Babies. The following week, we noted these were expected to be Walgreens' Exclusive Beanies, to be available the first week in December. You may want to check your local Walgreens' as it seems they are apparently showing up now, at least in some locations.

Dan of CA kindly did some extra research for us today, and found these three Bears available on an eBay Auction.. He writes:

HI DEB, JUST DID A SEARCH ON E-BAY. LOOKS LIKE THE M& M BEARS HAVE ARRIVED AT WALGREENS IN SOME PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. HERE IS THE AUCTION NUMBER. <See link above> I WOULD SAY YOUR WALGREENS SHOULD HAVE THEM THIS WEEK ALONG WITH MY LOCAL WALGREENS I HOPE. MY WALGREENS GET SHIPMENTS IN ON FRIDAYS. ... A 2009 New Year Bear?

So, will Ty introduce a New Year 2009 Bear soon? Last year (October 31, 2007 to be exact) Ty introduced 'New Year 2008' the Bear, a retail version. Following soon afterwards (November 29, 2007) Ty introduced '2008 the Bear', a Ty Store Exclusive. The bow tie color, birthdays, and poems are different for both bears. (Visit our November 2007 news archives for a photo comparison.) Guess we'll see soon enough. ... I know, Thanksgiving isn't even here yet (in the U.S.) ... just a random thought I had. :)

... Worth the Wait
As you know, last week we posted the three M & M Beanie Babies shown below. We have received quite a few emails from collectors, wondering when and where these 'sweet' bears will be available. We have received word from a reliable source (however unconfirmed) that they will be Walgreens' Exclusives, showing up the first week in December. Seems they may follow the footsteps of the popular Hershey's bears - Hugsy, Kisses, and Cocoa Bean - in December 2006. What we suggest ... be patient and keep your eyes open. And now I have to go find that bag of M & M's !!! :)

On August 15th, Ty announced the 'Make My Beanie' contest. And on September 19th, two Grand Prize winners were announced. As a winner both would receive their special Beanie creation (made into a BB2.0) and autographed by Ty. The two winning Beanie Baby drawings are shown below (from our news posted on September 19th). It states on the link - "Chaucer the Bear, our Borders-exclusive holiday bear designed by Ty, is so soft and cuddly you won't be able to resist taking him home. Not only does Chaucer have a scarf featuring the letters of the alphabet, but he also stars in his own picture book, Chaucer's First Winter, another Borders exclusive.
