12:05 am EST ... The Auction for the Ty autographed 'Frankenteddy' Beanie on the Ty Website has reached $17,604. The auction closes on October 31st at 12:00 pm CST.

... 'Jinglepup' Jingle Beanie
Apparently there are variations in the 'Jinglepup' Jingle Beanie, as with the Beanie Baby, depending on whether it is from the U.S., UK, Canada, or Singapore. Ms. Janie has posted several links showing the different 'versions'.

The 'Beanie Buddy Blast' contest has now ended. The winners will be announced on November 6th. I hope you have had a 'blast' playing. Thanks to all that participated ... and good luck to everyone! Our special thanks again to Selwel for their generous donation of prizes!

Added note: The answer to #7 was "Bubbles", as noted on the Contest Page. There was a 'distorted' image posted for that Buddy in lieu of a 'poem' or scrambled word. Apparently there are some viewers (ie. webtv users) that have a different color resolution and had difficulty determining which Buddy it was. I have elected to accept ALL answers as correct for #7 in fairness to all.

... GIANT Teddy Bear
1:30 am EDT ... At a 'Teddy Show' in Leipzig, eastern Germany, is a giant teddy bear. The plush toy measures 6.83 meters (22.4 ft) and is the world's biggest teddy bear according to the Guinness Book of Records. (More than 2,000 teddys are on display at the exhibition, celebrating the 100th year of the teddy bear.)

... Pompey Beanie Baby - Update
Thanks to several readers for pointing out ... the Portsmouth Football Club website now reads: "No more Pompey Beanie Bears Orders for Now". The ordering of this bear has been temporarily removed from the 'shopping zone' of the site. They do mention that hope to have it back up for ordering some time next week.

... 'Prototype' Frankenteddy Auction
Update - 12:10 am EDT ... The auction bid for the 'Frankenteddy' prototype autographed by Ty Warner" is currently at $11,040. The auction will run through Thursday, October 31st and will close at 12:00 pm CST. The auction is to help raise money for UNICEF.

The auction states "Unicef (the United Nation's Children's Fund) was established in 1946 and is dedicated to addressing the needs of Children in more than 160 countries around the world. Money raised from this auction will help UNICEF focus on improving child health, nutrition, education, immunizations, water and sanitation".

Pompey Bear can be ordered Thought everyone would like to know that you CAN order a Pompey bear off the Pompey Club website to be delivered when their new shipment arrives in mid-November. Doodle's Note: I noticed the website states: "Courtesy of official sponsors Ty the Pompey Shop was given over 1,000 exclusive blue beanie bears to sell to fans. The results was 'beanie bear mania' with queues outside the shop and the 1,100 all snapped up inside two days".
They hope to restock and have more in by the end of November.

Wow! No sooner said than done! As you may recall, last Thursday Ms. Janie mentioned that she had been told that three new Exclusive Beanies (Thistle, Rose, and Daffodil) were listed on the UK order form for Ty retailers. Collectors are reporting that they have received shipment confirmation from Ty of the Ty Store Exclusive Beanie, SCARED-e.

... St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
1:10 am EDT ... The beginning of September, we posted information from Pat Inman, Assistant Chapter Director, St. Jude's Fundraising Coordinator - (You can read it by clicking here.) St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was founded by entertainer Danny Thomas in 1962 and treats children from all across the U.S. and 60 foreign countries who are stricken with the most severe childhood cancers.

The many emails we received were incredible - and quite touching. On behalf of Pat, I would like to personally thank everyone who took the time and effort to contribute! The Beanie Babies, Buddies, Attic Treasures, etc. that were donated have now been delivered. Pat has sent us an email with several photos you may wish to check out. ... 'Kanata' In Thirteen Versions?
Susan writes: I have just been told by my retailer here in Canada that the new Canadian Exclusive Beanie - Kanata - will be coming out in 13 different variations. There are 13 total provinces / territories here in Canada, so it looks like one for each area. She wasn't sure how they would differentiate - maybe the tush tag? Have you heard anything about this? Doodle's note: I have received a couple other emails regarding this ... guess we will find out soon enough. With the different variations of Dissy, Frankenteddy, Issy, Champion, etc., I wouldn't be surprised. Just hope you won't have to visit the 13 Canadian provinces or territories to find them all! :)
