... 'Gingerspice' Beanie Baby - Update
The Hallmark Gold Crown Exclusive Beanie Baby 'Gingerspice' has now been officially introduced on Ty's website. Click here to view. This holiday Beanie appeared in Ty's current Beanie Baby list last week (see October 22nd news), I will list it as (silently) introduced on 10/22/08, with the official release dated today (unless officially told otherwise).

... Nimbus - Two Versions
As you are aware, Nimbus was launched Saturday, October 25th, at Harrods (UK). Collectors have been curious as to the variations that were anticipated ... the news shared below will clarify any questions.

Hello :)
One of my members, Katherine from Beanie UK shared the following with me is morning and I have permission to post this information on. It is already on Beanie UK (http://groups.msn.com/BeanieUK); however here it is for your use.

- 12 signed Nimbus to the first 12 in the queue.
- 4 Billionaire Bears available: We are lead to believe the 1st two people in the queue would have received one and the other two would be sold randomly. The Billionaire Bear in question is unknown so if anyone knows, please send me a message (allan_laville@hotmail.com).
- Elvis Bears were on display and people were told they will be widely available.
- The Toy Kingdom display was suffering with many animals and not too much on show.
- Elbrus from the Harrods 2007 release was available in Toy Kingdom for £2.95.
- Key-Clips from last year of Omnia and Omnibus were £1.95 from Toy Kingdom.
- The queue was about 100-150 MAX this year.
- Boxed Nimbus are still available at the moment. There is apparently 1000 of these available.
- No display was seen on outside doors or within the queue inside Harrods.
- The first 250 received leaflets stating their queue number in the case of an emergency and if the queue needed to reform as a result of it. We also received these in the 2007 release.
- No information was released about a 2009 Harrods release.
- People were allowed into the Harrods building at 9:30am and items went on sale just before 10am.
- The ONLY difference between boxed/unboxed Nimbus is the ribbon colour. Both ribbons reportedly say Harrods on them; however BOXED Nimbus has a Tiffany Blue ribbon while the UNBOXED Nimbus as the traditional Harrods GREEN ribbon.
- The BOXED Nimbus come with certificate as in previous years.
- Prices are: £9.95 for BOXED and £7.95 for UNBOXED.
- Limits are 2 BOXED and 24 UNBOXED.

HI DEB ITS ME DAN IN CALIFORNIA ONCE AGAIN. I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE A PICTURE OF THE NEW 2008 WALGREENS CHRISTMAS JINGLE BEANIE BABIES. THEY ARE FLAKY, PEPPERMINT, SWEETER- THE GINGERMAN, SNOWBOUND- THE PENGUIN, AND CHILLER- THE SNOWMAN. INSIDE THE HANG TAG IT SAYS CREATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR WALGREENS. ITS NOT EVEN HALLOWEEN YET CHRISTMAS STUFF IS ALREADY OUT. LOL

Doodle's note: Flaky the Bear was first introduced on September 30, 2003 - and retired December 26, 2003. This Jingle Beanie has now been (re)released as a Walgreens Exclusive. But as noted by Dan, the first Flaky Jingle had a green nose, this Walgreens Exclusive has a black nose. Also ... there have been two Gingerman Jingles - the first one was called Sweetsy and had a red bow tie and a red & green button - the Walgreens Exclusive ('Sweeter') has no bow tie and a red button.

... 'Elvis' Beanie Babies - Photos and More
We are pleased to share additional photos, sent today by John the phoenix (in the UK). Included are photos of the hang tags for each of the Beanies below, as well as the style numbers. So now (at least so far), you have been able to view all five Elvis Beanie Babies, with their hang tag information, with possibly more to follow. We shall see if additional 'versions' exist. Maybe an announcement by Ty soon as well.

... 'Elvis' Beanie Babies
Richard from the UK shares the following with us, and also posts on the Beanie UK website ...

Hi Doodle, I am delighted to advise that three new un-announced beanies have arrived in the Uk and will be with me on Friday. They are 3 Elvis Bears - one is called 'Bearning Love' who is purple, the next 'Blue Beanie Shoes', who is blue and the last is 'Beanie House Rock' who is orange. All are new faced bears, all are wearing sun glasses and all have Elvis style black hair. They are really fun.

Only 2000 of reach arrived in Ty Uk on Monday and they are selling incredibly quickly. I have pictures but I do not wish to post these on an open forum. Please e-mail me directly on ext255@aol.com if you'd like to see the pics on the strictest understanding that the photos are not forwarded.

If anyone wishes to order a trio, please drop me a line too and I'll post them to you over the weekend freepost.

The Hallmark Gold Crown Exclusive Beanie Baby 'Gingerspice' has silently appeared in Ty's current Beanie Baby list. For over a month, we have been waiting for the official introduction of this holiday bear ... it has been spotted over the last few weeks at various Hallmark stores ... now we can claim it official and will list today as the official (silent) announcement until we learn otherwise. :)

Hi Doodle, So its time for the harrods bear again and again its stated that its a limited edition for the collector! right not everyone can get to London, especially if your living in the states, so at least 90% of those that can get there will have members of there family kids, aunties ,uncles, grandparents, cousins, cousins send third times removed, to buy them and stick them on a well known auction site at extorted prices. HOW IS THAT LOOKING AFTER COLLECTORS WHO HAVE BOUGHT TY FOR YEARS.? would it not have bean better to sell these bears to registered bboc members instead? or through the TY website,   thanks Ian

... New Pluffies
As we reported in our news on July 5th (click here), "new holiday theme products are coming soon".
