... NY Yankees Promo Bear
On March 20th, we posted news of an upcoming NY Yankees promo "Limited Edition" Beanie Buddy, to be given away at the NY Yankees vs Toronto Blue Jays game on October 1st. (On April 26th, a photo of the Buddy was posted on the promo schedule of the NY Yankees website) . This Buddy will be given away to the first 18,000 fans 14 and under. We can expect to see this Buddy announced AND retired on Ty's website tomorrow ... keep your eyes posted for the announcement.

The poems for all the new October Beanie Babies are noted on Ty's website. While briefing through them today, I also noticed that the two "versions" (gold thread and 'regular') are listed for the new Beatrix Potter Beanie Babies. Looks like Ty has been quite busy in the production department lately. I have a few personal favorites (ie Chillingsly and Freezie) but they're ALL quite adorable. Happy Collecting!

They are a delightful pair and so difficult to get hold of outside of Germany as they cannot be ordered online. Many thanks to Sabine Rowles for donating them!

I have a couple of sets of non-mint tagged William and Hamley left - these can also be found on eBay and I have added the option to make me an offer for them through eBay. All that I ask is to cover the costs and to enable me to make a small donation to the charity Cancer Research UK. The tags are not that bad; they just have slight dents from tag attachers. I will still include the CHERISH tags and card and the Ty UK invitation to the launch event.
With luck I will be listing an auction for Nigel, the Beales exclusive, this weekend. News of that will be added to the CHERISH website at www.cherishonline.co.uk

Hamleys was founded as 'Noah's Ark' in 1760 by William Hamley. The store is known for its vast selection of high quality toys. So appropriately enough, the new much-discussed Hamleys Exclusive Beanie Babies are called 'William' and 'Hamley'.

Several readers informed us this morning that Hamleys was taking pre-orders of these two Exclusive bears on their website, but they were available for a limited time only. Shortly afterwards, the site listed both Beanies as "out of stock". The Hamleys website now reads:

.... New UK Exclusives - Update
John (from the UK) shares the following information regarding the anticipated new UK Exclusive Beanie Babies:

Hi Deb!

I've just spoken to Hamleys, Regent Street, London. The assistant has confirmed that there are indeed 2 Ty Exclusives to be released on September 16th in store. They are opening a new Ty department in the store 2 days earlier, which promises to be much better than what they have now. No pre-orders are being accepted for these releases - you need to be there on the day!! The lady I spoke to thought they might be available for mail order later...if they got any more in, but she was not able to confirm this at this time. ...and she didn't know yet what the beanies are!

That's as much as I know so far!!!!

"For sale starting October 2, 2006 at www.midwestairlinesstore.com ". To randomly check for any changes on the site, just follow the instructions posted yesterday. (Visit the Midwest Airlines website, and type "Beanie" in the search box.)

Note: Lisa of Planet Beans follows-up with a note posted on the Midwest Airlines website, which further states 'No orders will be accepted prior to that date."
