The TY UK Collectors Party
When the Swallow Boys took over distributing Ty in Europe they knew what the collectors wanted! Innovation, excitement and the thrill of collecting.
From July of last year Mark and Jonathan have been determined to give the retailer quality products that the public want to buy, but most importantly products that the true TY fan wanted to collect. We have seen exclusives for the UK, and Germany, products that celebrate English heritage as well as European football. Saturday morning children's TV invited the younger audience to join in the fun of collecting by introducing an exclusive for the BBC. Cornwall was thrilled this summer to be able to represent Ty with their very own Cornish exclusive called 'Kernow'. Retailers were amazed at the response from the consumers and collectors around the globe that wanted to get their hands on yet another exclusive.
They now are continuing with the excitement by holding the first official Ty collectors party at the Millennium Hotel in Central London this Friday evening, the night before Harrods launch their 2006 winter exclusive Beanie Babies. The party is by invitation only and is a charity event in the honour of 'Great Ormond Street' Children’s Hospital. 100% of proceeds will go to the hospital. The TY party will be a time where the collectors can meet the Swallow boys ,their team of Managers and representatives and see for the very first time memorabilia of collectable items which include 'TY pins from the famous Jewellery store 'Tiffany & Co' in New York, Life size Boppers, and exclusive products that have been signed by Mr Warner!! On the night there will be an opportunity to win rare products as well as placing a bid at the auction. The telephone lines at the Ty office in Fareham Hampshire have been ringing non stop to book a place at the party and for those unable to attend personally there is a facility to bid by telephone by using the following numbers :

The auction list
for the Ty Collector's Party on Friday this week is now ready for collectors
to see, and I am pleased to be asked to share it with you.
The following items are
confirmed for the event :-
Original Tiffany Ty pins - 2 in each case....and 2 cases!
Original framed catalogue collections, from the past 4 years!
BBOC Collectors Memorabilia, catalogues and unopened calendars, surrounded
by original collectors cards, all in a frame!
The original UK McDonalds Happy Meals set, also framed!
A Princess Bear, signed by Paul Burrell, with a photograph of him, all in a
box frame!
The original Harrods invitation and the concept artwork for 2004 by the
artist, never seen before!
2 signed Billionaire bears, in a single frame!
This year's Harrod's number 1 limited edition beanies, signed by Mohammed Al
Fayed!
Fun and Laughter Key Chains, signed by Ty....very very limited!
Original Ty Champagne glasses, with a bottle of champagne!
Venue exclusive beanies....from US events, which you had to attend to get
them!
A massive Ty Heart, covered in a collage of all the different heart tags
over the years!
A set of 3 prototype Harrods invitation cards, which were never used!

A boxed Kernow, signed by Rick Stern, the famous UK chef who has a
restaurant in Padstow, Cornwall, where Kernow was launched!

How about all that????!!!!!!!!!
These items range from very small....to very large...many are in box frames,
specially for the occasion....but there's no doubt they are all going to
contribute to a very special evening. All places for the event have been
taken, and there will be up to 20 phone lines too, as there has been huge
interest from both at home and abroad.
And I haven't even mentioned all the other things on offer on Friday...to
buy, to swap, the quiz......but most of all, it's an opportunity for friends
to meet and collectors to get together...and to raise a lot of money for the
Great Ormond Street Children's Charity, based in London, but serving the UK
as a whole. The Ty UK team have worked really hard to get this event off the
ground....and now it's up to all the guests to make it a huge success and a
memorable evening!
Today the Ty UK team have been photographing the auction items....and
tomorrow I will be sending them as well, with a final update!
All this....and then Harrods the next morning..........I cannot wait!!
